Minimum Wage Debate
After a lot of feedback on this issue, I’ve decided to try to explain to our liberal friends once again the basics of economics.
Some on the left say that by raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour (a magical number chosen based off little to no research) it will stimulate the economy because more people will have more money to spend on goods and services.

The fact of the matter is, by raising the minimum wage you will be destroying jobs. If a business owner is forced to pay $15 / hour to his employees (a federal mandate which also makes working for $14 / hour illegal) he or she will be forced to find other avenues to stay in business. Automation is one we’ve already seen today. For example, the self checkout lines at a hugely growing number of retail stores and grocery stores.
Also a San Fransisco robotics startup has already created a burger flipping machine that can exceed the output of a human and has remarkable reliability.

Read HERE how McDonalds plans to add 7,000 touch-screen kiosks in restaurants to replace cashiers.
There is sure to be more automation in the workplace as cities across the country are pressured into raising the minimum wage by activists who won’t admit and cannot recognize the consequences of their demands.

Lastly, liberals like to point out how business owners are greedy and do nothing to help our economy and make insane profits at the expense of the lower class. Well let me ask you, where do you think they’re making these profits? Obviously somebody must be buying their products (hint its us, the consumers!) Also these rich “greedy” business owners are the ones who create jobs, not your flawed trickle UP economic policies. The person you work for is rich, even if you work for the government, it’s the rich people who pay taxes to the federal government to allow them to pay your salary!
